Job purpose

The Senior Sales Engineer is responsible for driving business growth and maximizing revenue. The role focuses on generating new opportunities, managing key accounts, leading pre-sales technical and commercial discussions, and successfully closing profitable projects, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities Sales & Business Development

  • Generate new business opportunities.
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Expand the client base and identify new market opportunities.
  • Lead the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract award.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and maintain acceptable profit margins.

Pre Sales Technical & Commercial Support

  • Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs for bidding and pricing purposes only.
  • Prepare and review pre-sales technical and commercial proposals in coordination with the Technical Office.
  • Conduct site visits for scope definition, technical understanding, and cost estimation.
  • Provide technical clarifications during tender and bidding stages.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of all submitted proposals and bids.
  • Follow up on RFQs, RFPs, and quotations until project closure.

Client Engagement & Market Representation

  • Lead technical and commercial discussions and negotiations with clients.
  • Represent the company in client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and marketing activities as required.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and applicable standards.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Maintain sales pipeline reports, forecasts, and call reports.
  • Coordinate with technical, procurement, and commercial teams during pre-award stages.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all sales activities and client communications.
