Internal Medicine Registrar / Senior Registrar

• Provide comprehensive and diligent medical care to all assigned patients in case of emergency procedures within incumbent’s competence including, but not limited to the following:

 

4.1.1. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

 

4.1.2. Maintenance of the airway including tracheal intubation and mechanical

         ventilation.

 

4.1.3. Placement of intravascular catheters and monitoring devices.

 

4.1.4. Renal replacement therapy.

 

 

 

 

 

4.2 Provide supervision to residents/trainees when filling-in request and follow up of results of laboratory and related diagnostic examinations.

 

• Participate on on-call duty as required.

 

• Follows all related hospital policies and procedures.

 

• Carries out full range of in-patient and/or outpatient duties as assigned in accordance with individual approved clinical privilege.

 

• Refers patients to appropriate specialized clinicians when there is in need for service beyond the training and privilege of the individual.

 

• Ensure that the admission notes for all new patients include differential diagnosis, and possible lines of investigations are available.

 

• Abides by the Medical Staff by laws, code of the medical ethics, rules and regulations of the medical staff and those specific of the department / divisions.
