Video Editor

Job Description :

Edit video and receive a brief, and maybe an outline of footage and/or a shot list, script, or screenplay.Assembling all raw footage either recorded or transferred.  Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effectsDigitally cutting files to put together the sequence of the film and deciding what’s usable.Creating a ‘rough cut’ (or assembly edit) of the program/film and determining the exact cutting for the next and final stagesReordering and fine-tuning the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video. Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.

Job Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field.Previous work experience as a video editor.Hands-on experience with editing software, including Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, Light works, and Premier.Creative and artistic skills.Portfolio of completed film productions.
