Job Description :

Essential Job Functions:Analyze, understand, and interpret the risks being taken across area branches portfolio & operations, work closely with the Risk Manager to identify key risk exposures and performance drivers, define and monitor risk guidelines and develop quantitative and qualitative analytics for risk estimation and management.Monitor risk exposures and proactively engage with the business to manage risk.Aggregate information from a variety of sources and create detailed reports representing risk and portfolio construction.Effectively communicate risk report information to and respond to risk-related inquiries from internal partners including the Risk Committee and Senior management.Perform operational risk identification and assessment in business units.Prepare operational risk issues and decisions reports on a regular basis.Assist in identifying and evaluating risk areas across operational activities.Develop a strong relationship with key stakeholders and business partners by addressing issues/concerns in a timely manner.Review or recommending policies and procedures to mitigate operational risk, such as disaster recovery plans and business continuity plans.Developing metrics to monitor operational risk exposure and progress towards goals.Reviewing data on loss exposures and loss experience to detect emerging trends or problems.Identifying potential operational risk exposures, evaluating potential losses from those exposures, and developing mitigation strategies for high-risk situations.Monitoring the performance of operational risk management controls through regular audits and assessments.Developing, communicating, and enforcing operational risk policies and procedures.Providing training and education to management and/or staff on best practices for reducing operational risk exposure.Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to operational risk.

Job Requirements :

Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.Experience 4+ Years in financial institutions i.e., banks, (Preferred in SME/microfinance institutions).Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with strong attention to detail.Proficient user of Microsoft office as well as, ability to develop rigorous analysis using different applications like Power BI.Strong written and oral communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
