Job Description
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Manage a team of maintenance supervisors to ensure technical services are delivered in accordance with the highest quality standards and in compliance with company operating procedures.
Provide technical input into the development of proposals for new projects.
Supervise the training and development of subordinate personnel. Identify and convey the proper communication channels among the team.
Develop appropriate maintenance programs for all assets under the company’s operation in conjunction with maintenance staff.
Plan, develop, and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
Develop scope of work and contractual terms for all sub-contracted facility management operations.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and sub-contractors.
Develop and maintain work procedures for all operational and maintenance activities as well as emergency situations.
Carry out routine trainings for subordinate team in order to ensure proper implementation of procedures. Monitor the application of procedures.
Keep track of each project’s expenditures and ensure proper records keeping.
Prepare semi-annual reports of all committed payments to be presented to management.
Ensure expenditure is in line with previously approved budgets.
Review and analyze energy consumption rates across periods of time; identify energy saving measures and recommend implementation to site managers after securing management approvals.
Prepare operation and maintenance budgets for upcoming years to be presented to management.
Recommend and prepare budgets for special projects that offer building improvements.
Recommend operational changes that could lead to budget cuts where needed.
Skills
Holds an Engineering Degree from a reputable organization.
5+ years working in the facility management field.
Proven experience in managing human resources.
High standards of process improvement and implementation.
Demonstrated experience in inventory control, supply management, and tracking budget expenses.
Strong organization and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong command of MS office.
