Job Description
- Perform all aspects of architectural design, including conceptual studies, programming, schematic documents, design development documents, and construction documents.
- Develop strong relationships within the firm and with our clients. This includes working side-by-side in a team environment with our Managing Principals, Project Managers, Architects, Interior Designers, and Emerging Professionals on active production.
- Responsible for overall client satisfaction, design quality and profitability of all projects undertaken that contribute to the firm’s strategic priorities.
- Promote and foster collaboration and engagement with all team members.
- Manage, direct and mentor Project Managers, Architects, and junior staff.
Skills
- A bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Architecture from an accredited university with a minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience in the architecture or construction industry. An advanced degree is desirable.
- At least 5 years of experience as a lead architect in the industry.
- Lead Architect on at least three residential projects (detailed design), including at least one residential project related to the accommodation of at least 300 people.
- Experience in designing accommodations and living facilities for remote and harsh environments is desirable.
- Must have familiarity with latest design methods, practices, and tools, Quality and HSE implementation practices, and regulatory/permitting aspects.
- Fluent in English with strong written and oral communication skills in English as well.
- Iraqi national preferred
