IT Technician

 JOB SUMMARY:

This employee is responsible for providing support to end users by installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, upgrading, and managing computer hardware, software, and data communications equipment, and ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

MAIN DUTIES

Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

• Installing equipment for data communications networks including hardware, software, and data communications equipment.
• Trouble-shooting equipment for data communications networks including computer hardware, software, and data communications equipment.
• Maintaining equipment for data communications networks including computer hardware, software, and data communications equipment.
• Providing support to users of data communications networks.
• Assisting the network administrator(s) in the form of requirements analysis, network application design, implementation, problem investigation and resolution, and network application evaluation.
• Configure and set up IT equipment’s (IP Phones, cameras, Fingerprint, etc.)
• Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
• Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality
• Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
• Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance
• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
• Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
• Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
• Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
• Performing other duties as assigned.
