Role Overview
Responsible in the overall running of the Customer Reception ensuring efficient and effective operation and guest satisfaction. Also, entry of daily revenue including receiving and posting the payment in the POS. While main duties are predominately carried out in the Resort, work may be required in other areas of the property.
Main Duties
§ Provide positive guest relations at first point of contact through exceptional customer service by greetings, answering inquiries at the front counter and over the phone.
§ Receive and handle incoming mails, messages and telephone calls.
§ Register and allocate appropriate booking or reservations for guests.
§ Anticipate guest requirements by making use of guest preference and guest history information at every opportunity.
§ Keep records of sports activity availability and guests’ accounts.
§ Recommend various sports activities, restaurants including offering memberships (keep up to date knowledge of the services and facilities provided by the resort and the various opening hours of all facilities is a must).
§ Take necessary form and documentation on guests registering for membership including briefing members of the terms and benefits.
§ Compute bill, collect payment and post in the POS system.
§ Punctually attend assigned duties (should be available at the duty site 10 minutes before the time). Present a clean and tidy appearance in accordance with the dress code and resort’s grooming standards.
§ Tactful, professional and friendly communication with guests and colleagues.
§ Update and report to supervisor or manager all matters that may affect work and compliance of policy and procedures.
§ Be flexible and open to change in your job responsibilities, work area and/or roster to meet operational needs.
§ Attend all training programs, briefings and meetings as scheduled.
§ Report and log all incidents, accidents and guest complaints to supervisor or manager in briefings
§ Comply with policies and procedures, demonstrate efficient teamwork and contribute to the achievement of business goals
§ Perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require.
Skills
Minimum Qualification:
§ Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
§ Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
§ Excellent communication and presentation skills
§ Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
§ High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
Preferred Experience:
§ One year customer support experience or one year cashiering experience
§ One year clerical experience
