JOB PURPOSE:Reporting to the Regional Visual Merchandiser, your role will be to implement and maintain the M&S brand image within the store, ensuring visual consistency. You will provide the customer with the most inspirational shopping experience possible. You will also be responsible for maintaining effective communication with store colleagues and the RVM / Manager VM. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Accurately implement all company Visual Merchandising policies. Implement easy to shop store grids. Implement well styled mannequins in line with the styling policy. Use appropriate styling techniques and the correct visual elements in the relevant areas to aid customer segmentation.
- Implement seasonal launches and events on time and “on brand”. Be aware of both store and company best sellers. Have an awareness of competitor activities and trends within Visual Merchandising. Work effectively and communicate regularly with store colleagues and Regional VM Manager to ensure brand consistency.
- Implement window display guidelines on time and “on brand”. Ensure corporate initiatives are implemented effectively. VM checklist to be maintained and adhered to. Execution of marketing initiatives in the stores. Liaise with the Store Managers everyday for updates on VM processes / requirements / people.
JOB CONTEXT:Visual merchandising team members contribute to the advertising, marketing, and sales efforts of Mark and Spencer by designing, developing and taking charge of the visual look of the store and its merchandise. As a member of the in-store merchandising team, you will be executing merchandising strategies by creating and maintaining visual displays in the store windows and on the sales floor. You will also contribute to the profitability of the store with your merchandise handling, replenishment, and inventory control efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Graduate Degree• Bachelor’s degree or a diploma in sales, marketing or other related area of study from an accredited institution.• Post Graduate degree in the field of marketing, visual merchandising, retailing or any other related field of study with 2 – 5 years experience in visual merchandising. Minimum Experience: +3 years of experience Behavioural Competencies : Leadership, Strong Business Acumen and the ability to communicate with business partners at all levels
