PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
This opportunity is for a key member of the JIGPC EHSSQ Team to provide support to overall operations, maintenance, construction, commissioning, and start-up team. Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Prepare for, organize and conduct hands-on, safety training educational sessions that introduce workers to resources they can use to identify, prevent and address health and safety concerns.
- Planning training syllabus content
- Carrying out EH&S training as required Including:
- Plan, Schedule, Coordinate & Deliver trainings for the organization (Such as Induction Trainings & Other Procedural trainings etc.)
- Maintain / Document all training conducted
- Track and communicate refresher trainings
- Demonstrations & Training Exercises
- Prepare training material either to present or to be used by others
- Support the EH&S Training Specialist in developing training programs
- Support the implementation of EH&S training program
- Active participation and support in development of Monthly Safety Theme campaigns
- Support Medical & Health campaigns and other established programs
- Audit contractor training programs
- Support the establishment of JIGPC training center & maintain Training Supplies and resources
- Support completion of Monthly Training Reports
Skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in a technical subject related to Occupational Health & Safety.
- Excellent facilitation, written and oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience providing training to workers and adult learners, using popular education/interactive approaches
- Inspiring training presenter with a passion for high safety performance standards
- Organised, disciplined, able to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities and parallel tasks
- Strong Microsoft software skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Middle East project experience
- Experience of working on camp-based sites in remote Middle East locations
- Experience of working in multicultural project teams
- ∼10 years’ experience on international Mega Projects working accountable for training delivery
- Ability to work in a multifaceted / multinational organizational matrix with a variety of working relationships
- Results oriented. Must be able to understand impact of decisions/changes on project HSE risks and overall project success
- Works autonomously, reliably communicating upwards when appropriate.
- Energy, drive and determination to lead the team to deliver the required results.
DESIRABLE QUALIFIATIONS, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
- Relevant multi-language ability
- Experience of Industrial Gas Projects
- Must be Expert in MS office Application (Excel, PowerPoint, MS forms etc.)
- Possess Driving License (International or National)
