Summary:
The Technical Engineer Manager leads and manages a team of engineers to design, develop, and implement technical solutions that meet the organization’s goals and objectives. They play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the engineering team’s work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Define and prioritize engineering projects and tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
- Monitor and manage project risks and issues, taking proactive steps to mitigate potential problems.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment within the engineering team.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of engineering activities.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends in the engineering field.
- Provide technical expertise and support to other departments within the organization.
- Participate in the development of the organization’s engineering strategy and roadmap.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 3 years of leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, practices, and methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of engineers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in technical software applications and tools relevant to the organization’s field.
