Job Description:
The Sales Engineer will combine a knowledge of steel products with sales expertise to acquire new clients, manage existing accounts, and provide engineered solutions tailored to project needs.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in [target industries/regions].
- Consult with clients (contractors, fabricators, developers, engineers) to understand project requirements and recommend appropriate steel solutions.
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and bids based on project specifications.
- Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings to determine steel material needs.
- Collaborate with internal estimating, engineering, and production teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms.
- Attend site visits and client meetings.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new steel technologies.
