Job Description
- Conduct regular safety inspections of project sites and office premises.
- Identify hazards, non-compliances and facilitate corrective actions.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, recommend preventive measures.
- Monitor and enforce safety rules, policies, regulations and guidelines.
- Coordinate safety orientations, talks and periodic training programs.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, audits, risk assessments etc.
- Support emergency response preparedness and response drills.
- Review method statements, Job Safety Analysis for high risk activities.
- Issue and track PPE, recommend improvements.
- Provide input for safety aspects of bid proposals, contracts.
- Generate safety performance reports and metrics.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, sub-contractors on safety requirements.
- Execute work that adheres to quality, health, safety, and environmental considerations, as well as commitment and excellence.
Skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards (OSHA, local regulations, industry-specific standards)
- Risk assessment and management (hazard identification, risk analysis and mitigation)
- Emergency response and crisis management skills
- Effective communication and ability to develop and deliver safety training
- Strong analytical and observation skills for site inspections, monitoring, and data analysis
