Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Safety Officer will support the project management team at site with regard to various requirements pertaining health and safety management at the project site(s). The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders on the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under the leadership of the project manager, be responsible for the HSE management of the project site
- Conduct HSE audits and inspection of the site facilities to ensure compliance
- Carry out routine safety inspection activities, keep inspection records, stop violations and keep proper records
- Preparation of various HSE and Ad Hoc reports as per the client requirements
- Conduct, Review Job Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments of High-Risk work activities like lifting, confined space works, excavation, hot works etc.
- Participate in the review of safety technical measures and plans, and supervise and inspect the implementation
- Conduct/arrange safety inductions for new project staff
- Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager
Skills
Qualification(s) Skills & Experience (E – Essential / P – Preferred):
- Should have at least 4-6 years of relevant experience in a similar role in the Construction Industry (E)
- Should possess good communications skills in English (verbal and written) (E)
- Should hold a valid UAE Driving License (E)
- Should be NEBOSH or equivalent certified (E)
- Should have the ability to control demeanor and act confidently in challenging and emergency situations (E)
- Preference will be given to candidates having worked on Airport projects in UAE as Safety Officer (P)
NB : We have multiple openings for this position and are looking for candidates who can start immediately at short notice. Experience in the Construction industry is a must
