Job Description
- Directs Quality Management System and ensures quality problems are identified and resolved
- Monitors Production Department’s conformance with Quality Assurance standards and procedures
- Evaluates systems, analyzes data, evaluates products and technology, and establishes quality control procedures
- Conducts Quality Management System training for all company employees
- Suggests methods for improving product quality or manufacturing processes
- Oversees inspections and audits both internally and third-party
- Participates in vendor evaluations, interfaces with customers and vendors on Quality related problems
- Investigates product quality problems and recommends changes or improvements, maintains proper documentation and reports
- Performs inspections where necessary to support inspection and production
- Supervises the Inspection activities in the manufacturing facility
- Knowledgeable of occupational hazards and safety precautions and be able and willing to coach others in complying with program policies and procedures related to such
- Follows all safety policies and procedures
- Ensure process specs, drawings and other technical documentation is current and updated
- Reports any, and all, potential safety hazards, incidents, accidents, and other program concerns to management
- Study task operations and task sequence, material flow, organization charts and project information to determine most efficient worker functions and responsibilities
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Specialized in ISO9001 & AS9100 quality systems in advanced manufacturing environments
- Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor
- proven experience in Quality compliance, Inspection, and testing techniques/methods
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems
- Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
- Strong Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
