Job Description

We are urgently looking for Project Manager for one of our clients is in the Energy Sector in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Job Summary:

Work with the Project Manager as part of a project management team in ensuring successful implementation of Long-Term Operation and Maintenance projects with focus on customer satisfaction and improved profitability.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensuring the efficiency, timely and profitable performance of contract.
  • Overall management of all project staff.
  • Safe execution of project through project safety plan and procedures.
  • All aspects of project quality management and control system through project quality plan and procedures.
  • Ensuring that qualified manpower is available and mobilized in timely manner, as required.
  • Reviewing the project progress on all aspects viz. material submittals, drawings and actual site construction with senior site staff regularly and taking necessary corrective actions required to meet the project program.
  • Contract documentation & ensuring that the variation / claims are submitted accurately, correctly on time and effective follow up for settlement within agreed timelines. Focus on Value engineering, cost control and meeting profitability improvement targets.
  • Reviewing the executing methods, resources, sequencing, testing and commissioning parameters based on technical specifications.
  • Recommending the award of subcontract work to EVP.
  • Reviewing all purchase orders with regard to technical requirements, delivery schedules and commercial terms prior to signing.
  • Issuing necessary instruction to sub-contractors/suppliers on all contractual matters.
  • Reviewing with project senior engineers and quantity surveyors regarding contract changes and variations and ensuring the timely resolutions.
  • Preparation of cost and profitability statement and submission to EVP
  • Liaison with Client PM and Staff on each and every issue affecting the project on regular basis.
  • Coordinating with Client Project Manager on technical and construction issues through weekly coordination meetings and whenever required.
  • Approvals of all suppliers and sub-contractors invoices and other project expenses and release of payment.
  • Customer Relationship Management for positive referrals leading to additional profitable business and building up strategic tie ups.
  • Effective participation in Quality, Business Excellence & KM initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
