Mechanical Engineer

A leading private sector employer in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 9 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a maximum of 20 years. The role requires expertise in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. The candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent technical knowledge in mechanical engineering principles.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop mechanical systems and components, including but not limited to machinery, equipment, vehicles, and structures.
2. Conduct thorough research to identify innovative and cost-effective solutions for mechanical engineering projects.
3. Create detailed engineering plans, specifications, and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
4. Perform comprehensive testing and analysis of mechanical systems to ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, technicians, and production staff, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
6. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians in the development and execution of mechanical engineering projects.
7. Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate safety measures to mitigate potential hazards in mechanical systems.
8. Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering technologies, materials, and techniques to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
9. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and quality standards in all mechanical engineering projects.
10. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and technical documentation to stakeholders, including management, clients, and regulatory authorities.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex mechanical engineering projects.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and best practices.
5. Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
6. Experience in project management and the ability to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
8. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
9. Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
