Objectives:

Our client is a very well known investment group, they have several fields including food, consumer materials, industry, building materials, real estate, contracting. They are looking to recruit Internal Audit Manager for their offices in Al Khobar – Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and directs annual and long-term audit plans, by aligning with VP Internal Audit, based on comprehensive risk assessment exercise, covering wide range of operation, financial, administration and compliance risks and supplemented through discussion with Audit Committee and AMG’s senior management
  • Assists in establishing and maintaining a relevant methodology, strategy and implementation plans tailored to each business in the audit space.
  • Participate in the planning, design, development, implementation and operation of systems to determine that adequate controls and security are incorporated. Evaluations of critical systems will be performed to determine whether the systems meet their intended purpose and objectives and are properly secured.
  • Deliver a relevant and clear opinion on Corporate Governance, Risk Management and Internal Controls across the Group.
  • Influence and support as a trusted advisor for verticals and significant investments as required.
  • Provide valued input to senior management on matters including governance, risk, control, process and change.
  • Accountable in conducting audit following the project plan deadline with the least amount of disruption to the audited area as possible.
  • Form audit team leveraging the team skills, expertise, strengths and task to audit holding and operating companies.
  • Agree activity schedules and management of the staff planning board to ensure full resource utilisation throughout the year.
  • Complete quality audits to agreed timelines, overcoming obstacles, proactively managing project risks, finding solutions and taking initiatives to meet commitments
  • Insure that financial and operating data records and the means used to identify, measure, classify, and report such information are reliable and have integrity. This includes information and data processed through electronic devices, such as computers, word processing, and other office automation equipment.
  • Ascertain business process threats.
  • Discuss audit findings and recommendations with the appropriate management.
  • Report the evaluation of audit recommendations an expedited basis upon receipt of the report and that corrective action, as appropriate, on reported weaknesses is accomplished in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that assets, both physical as well as proprietary information, are properly safeguarded and, where appropriate, to verify the existence of such assets.
  • Provide valued input to the line manager on matters including governance, risk, control, process and change.
  • Ensure quality and timeliness of audit planning, fieldwork, data analysis, reporting, conducting performance appraisals after audits.

  • Perform compliance checks to ensure adherence of AMG businesses and functions to internal and statutory policies and regulations during job execution and reporting.

  •  

    Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and develop corrective action plans for resolution of any problematic issues.

  • Understand the business, key drivers and risk context.

  •  

    Regularly engage with senior leaders in the business to understand their needs and gain their perspective.

  •  

    Develop a partnership and trust relationship with senior leaders in the business.
