HSE Manager to ensure the following is performed:

  • Responsible for the administration of the HSE program which requires a thorough knowledge of federal and state safety, fire and health regulations. A working knowledge of hazardous gases and chemicals and of the appropriate detection devices is also required. The HSE Manager is qualified, by education and experience, to recommend and develop safe work procedures for situations that may not be covered by state regulations.
  • Provides safety information and guidance to Operations Manager on proper HSE procedures, current and potential hazards and employee training requirements. Revises the Site Safety & Health Plan to incorporate new procedures and those implemented to address new problem areas.
  • Reviews all safety programs for compliance with Company policies and client’s safety instructions.
  • Constructability reviews.
  • Construction Hazard analyses.
  • Design and specifications for project site safety and first aid facilities.
  • Review of state, local and client regulations for unusual requirements.
  • Develop the construction section of the Project Safety & Health Plan, as well as the Security Plan; make necessary arrangements for insurer loss prevention services and substance abuse testing.
  • Analysis of subcontractor bidders using the Contractors’ Pre-Bid Safety Questionnaire.
  • Consider loss prevention requirements in planning and allocation of labor, materials, equipment and the scheduling of jobsite activities.
  • Monitoring of ongoing program, loss prevention inspection reports, incident reports, holding supervision and site management accountable for compliance with written programs and support for loss prevention activities.
  • Responsible for HSE on an EPC project with a value of more than $30 million USD
