Job Description
Location: Jazan Economic City
Duration: 2 years (with opportunity to be extended)
- Receipt inspection of incoming material to the project /plant including verification, traceability, and clearance.
- Verify Contractors’ work and QC requirements at site.
- Responsible for quality surveillance and inspection activities in line with the approved ITP.
- Makes sure that the construction activities are carried out by EPC Contractors in accordance with the approved work procedures.
- Makes sure that the inspection reports are signed off immediately after the inspections.
- Record all inspection/surveillance details and monitor quality performance of the EPC Contractors based on inspection results.
- Issue Site Inspection Reports/Non-Conformance Reports where applicable and monitor the timely close out.
- Verify the quality documentation availability and its use at site.
- Overview the quality activities carried out by the EPC Contractor quality team at site.
- Participate in site quality audits on EPC Contractors.
- Participate in site quality meetings.
- Punch listing of works at final stages and make sure all punch items are satisfactorily closed.
- Support Review and approval of EPC Contractor’s quality documents.
- Ensure that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented, and maintained.
- Review of the contractor documents and monitor performance for compliance with project quality requirements.
- Coordinate and witness FAT and SAT.
- Ensure correct performance of the calibrated measuring and testing equipment’s.
- Maintain QC records.
Skills
Minimum Requirements
- Min. 7 years of experience in QC and inspection during construction phase.
- Must have previous Saudi Aramco experience.
- Bachelor’s degree /HND or Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering, Science or equivalent.
- Experience within the Oil and Gas and power plants is required.
- Experience in material receiving inspection and verification.
- Vast knowledge in construction of major plants in Electrical and Instrumentation role.
- Knowledge in electrical and instruments international codes and standards for design, construction, and testing.
- Electrical and instrument construction materials, construction methods and testing of instrumentation and installations.
- Electronic and pneumatic equipment including analogue and digital control systems, relay based and solid-state logic systems, transmitters, control valves and accessories.
- Instrumentation calibration and certification.
- Electrical equipment, motors, transformers, generators, sub-stations, cables, accessories, etc.
- Loop checking, cable glanding, termination, megger, and other inspection activities.
- Development and review of ITPs and testing procedures.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, diagrams, and other documents.
- Optional – Ex certification is preferred.
