Job Description:The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise Windows Server platforms, including Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services, Group Policy Objects, Domain Name System, and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. This individual will also lead VMware ESXi/vCenter (or Hyper-V) and Nutanix virtualization environments, driving automation for patching, provisioning, monitoring, and compliance checks utilizing PowerShell, Ansible, System Center Configuration Manager/Windows Server Update Services, and PowerCLI. Optimization of resource utilization through Distributed Resource Scheduler/High Availability is expected. Furthermore, the candidate will lead disaster recovery failover/failback exercises for virtual workloads, representing the Windows domain in disaster recovery tests and ensuring robust backup and recovery solutions. Implementation of security baselines, management of vulnerability remediations, and ensuring system lifecycle compliance with industry standards will also be required. The candidate will lead root cause analysis for major incidents across Windows and virtual environments, while also mentoring Level 1 and Level 2 team members. This position entails overseeing the integration of virtualization with storage, network overlays, and backup solutions. Comprehensive documentation maintenance, including Configuration Management Database integrity, runbooks, and virtual machine lifecycle, is also a key responsibility.
**Required Skills:**
* Advanced expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services, Group Policy Object, Domain Name System, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol.
* Extensive experience in Nutanix (Prism Central Administrator, AHV Cluster Build) including virtual networking and storage mapping
* Extensive experience in VMware (vSphere, vCenter, SRM, RP4VM) or Hyper-V, including virtual networking and storage mapping.
* High proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Ansible, and PowerCLI, and tools such as System Center Configuration Manager/Windows Server Update Services.
* Strong understanding of system hardening, IT Service Management, and compliance frameworks. Familiarity with hybrid environments is required.
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required, in addition to a minimum of eight years of combined experience in Windows Server and virtualization engineering.
* VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft equivalent, ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
