Job Description:Welding Inspector – CSWIP Certified (Construction/Power Plants) – CJP00047 Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Welding Inspector to ensure the integrity, quality, and safety of critical welding operations across major industrial projects. The successful candidate will perform comprehensive inspection, quality control, and compliance verification of welded components and structures. This role requires proven expertise in various welding processes, meticulous attention to detail, and official CSWIP 3.1/3.2 certification. The ideal candidate will be passionate about upholding the highest standards of welding quality in high-value projects within the Water & Power, Oil & Gas, and industrial sectors. Location: Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Type: Full-Time, Mid-Senior Level, On-site Multiple Openings Available Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive visual welding inspections (IWP, CWI) at various stages of fabrication and construction, from material receipt to final weld completion, across substations, SWRO, power plants, and oil & gas facilities. Ensure strict adherence to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), Welder Qualification Tests (WQT), and other project-specific welding documents. Identify, analyze, and document welding defects, discontinuities, and non-conformances according to relevant codes and standards. Recommend corrective actions. Verify material traceability, proper storage, and correct usage of welding consumables and base materials. Prepare detailed inspection reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), quality control logs, and other technical documentation with accuracy and professionalism. Witness welder qualification tests, procedure qualification tests, and monitor welding activities to ensure they are carried out according to approved procedures. Coordinate and review Nondestructive Testing (NDT) activities such as Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), interpreting results against acceptance criteria. Collaborate closely with project managers, fabrication teams, quality control personnel, clients, and third-party inspectors to ensure integrated project delivery and successful project completion. Qualifications: 4-6 years of progressive hands-on experience in welding inspection within the construction, power generation, SWRO, or oil & gas sectors. Certified Welding Inspector (CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2). Other relevant certifications (e.g., AWS CWI, API 570/510/653) are highly valued. Deep understanding of various welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW), associated defects, and relevant international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS, ISO). Strong grasp of metallurgical principles, material science, and corrosion mechanisms related to welded joints. Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in defect identification and resolution. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related technical field. Willingness to travel to project sites across KSA as required for project needs.
