Technology Asset Governance Principle Expert

Job PurposeThe role holder is responsible for executing the Technology Asset Governance including developing policies, procedures, and processes for hardware and software asset management. This position exists to ensure proper governance and utilization of technology assets and oversee the budgeting and procurement of new assets. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.Job ResponsibilityEnsure propose solutions for potential overlaps, duplications and other efficiency improvement opportunities through simplification, integration, re-use and rationalization of technology asset baseManage to identify opportunities to optimize and increase utilization of technology assets and solutionsLead the development of policies, procedures and processes for Hardware/software assetManage periodic audits and provide reconciliation reports between purchased and actually implemented LicensesMonitor and assess assets correlation with key business and operational drivers to identify focus areas for in depth analysis and evaluation in order to improve efficiencyJob Responsibility (cont.)Review the financial aspects for the acquisition of additional HW/SW licenses with the Technology Unit Financial Efficiency & Excellence.Monitor changes (addition, removing) to Technology asset Hardware / software & license assets and insure the reflection of the changes in assets governance systemManage the utilization of the License assets across Technology sectors.Oversee budgeting and procurement of respective new assets incl. market research, negotiations, acquisitionEnsure to inform Technology sectors on yearly roadmap for asset governance implementationDevelop deployment plans, conducting testing and quality assurance measures and updating inventory repository with relevant information once asset is deployedEnsure operation of respective deployed assets incl. maintenance, remediating issues and updating inventory repository with necessary informationMaintain information list of retired assets and develop effective retirement and disposal along with incorporation of learnings from the previously retired assetsEnsure secure disposal of respective assets and documentation of relevant informationYears Of ExperienceA minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 – 4 years of experience in a similar role.Nature Of ExperiencePrior experience in leading Enterprise PMO/Program/Project Management and execution at an organizational levelPreferred prior experience in Hardware/software asset at large scaleJob Band”SME”SkillsStrong leadership skills with ability to influence C-level executivesSound knowledge of the telecom industry, related technology and vendors / platform landscapeStrong knowledge of Management and Financial systemsStrong change management skillsSound Knowledge of project management principles and processesStrong cross-functional collaboration and relationship management abilitySound Knowledge of fibres and digital loop electronics fundamentalsSound Knowledge of Hardware/software asset at large scaleEducationBachelor Degree in Technology or SystemsAdditional EducationCertificationsCertification in Advanced Program/Project Management (PMP/Prince 2) or equivalent Relevant certification in telecommunications such as Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist (CTNS)Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP)
