Job Description:**Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:**

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of curriculum frameworks and possess a minimum of 1-2 years of teaching experience, ideally including experience with students for whom English is not their first language. A passion for holistic education, coupled with a high level of professionalism and commitment to student well-being, is essential. Furthermore, the candidate should exhibit recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities.

**Teaching and Learning:**

* Demonstrate a clear understanding of the curriculum.
* Organize classroom provision and learning resources and create engaging displays to foster a positive learning environment.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated sessions that cater to the diverse needs of all students within the class.
* Motivate students through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching methodologies.
* Conduct student observation and assessment in accordance with school assessment protocols.
* Engage in reflective practice regarding classroom provision, teaching sessions, and student progress, adapting the environment, planning, and curriculum accordingly.
* Collaborate with related service professionals (e.g., speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists) as required.
* Integrate the school’s language and behavioral framework (Teacher and Learner DNA) into all aspects of the curriculum.

**Assessment and Data:**

* Assume responsibility for the academic progress of the class.
* Meet all requirements for student assessment and record-keeping, utilizing relevant tracking systems.
* Utilize assessment data to inform subsequent planning, provision, and intervention strategies.
* Provide constructive feedback to parents and caregivers regarding student progress during conferences and other scheduled meetings.

**Behavior Management and Duties:**

* Adhere to the school’s established behavior policy.
* Manage classrooms effectively, employing appropriate strategies to inspire, motivate, and challenge students.
* Maintain positive relationships with students, exercise appropriate authority, and act decisively within the parameters of the school’s behavioral policy.
* Serve as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the values, attitudes, and behaviors expected of students.
* Maintain high expectations for student behavior, promoting self-control and independence in all learners.
* Execute assigned duties as directed and in accordance with school policies.

**Wider Professional Responsibilities:**

* Actively participate in curriculum action groups, supporting planning, assessment, resources, and special events.
* Support the organization and participation in school events, outings, and activities, which may occur on weekends or evenings.
* Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding student achievements and well-being, utilizing school communication systems and processes as appropriate.
* Make a positive contribution to the overall life and ethos of the school.
* Run a weekly ECA each term.
* Demonstrate respect for all members of the school community, irrespective of position, gender, age, or ethnic background.
* Maintain a positive and solution-focused approach to work.
* Possess a current and valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or equivalent police check.
