Talent Development Manager, AED 27,112-30,785 per month, Dubai

Job Description

Our client is seeking a candidate with at least seven years’ experience within a talent development field. Experience from a professional services background would be preferable. The role is responsible for driving the agenda across three main areas, client staff performance management, mentorship and MBA sponsorship including the relevant improvements, reporting and analysis. The role liaises at all levels of the organization and is in close coordination with various stakeholders across the firm.


  • Support in revamping, piloting, and rolling out a new performance management model across the organization
  • Own the current performance assessment model end to end including but not limited to (roster dissemination, appraisal packages review and update, appraisee/appraiser debriefs, committee schedule, results consolidation, post-committee feedback and closing cases in line with set timeline)
  • Manage all client staff related appraisal committees
  • Leverage expertise in client staff competencies by reviewing the quality of write-ups prior to the committees and coaching appraisers when needed
  • Demonstrate functional expertise in areas related to career progression and talent development and act as the go to person for the People Partner and appraisal committee Chairmen
  • Act as an active member within the performance management team and ensure implementation of new changes in ME as needed
  • Own and maintain a regular workforce planning report (actual and forecast) tracking promotion, employee churn vis a vis planned targets
  • Conduct analysis, develop dashboards, and drive insights from historical and current data for informative decision making
  • Drive the mentorship agenda and suggest new initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of mentorship relationships
  • Develop the relevant communication guidelines and analytical tools to further enhance the mentor/mentee relationships and measure its effectiveness
  • Liaise with Recruitment, Employee Relations, and Staffing to plan on-boarding events and assign suitable buddies for new joiners
  • Own the assignment of the summer associates, sr. Associates and Business Analysts mentors; ensure relevant communication to stakeholders
  • Attend to any questions related to policy &/or mentoring assignment options
  • Own the pre and post appraisal cycle communication process involving relevant stakeholders (eligibility criteria, appraisee, sponsoring partner, mentors)
  • Run, in close coordination with direct Manager relevant analysis to track retention, schools’ impact, school choice trends and MBA schools’ top ranking; recommend continuous improvement changes
  • Prepare and maintain all MBA Sponsorship agreements
  • Own and monitor the yearly budget for the MBA Sponsorships
  • Coach and manage the work of the Talent Development Specialist
  • Identify talent development use cases and collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to drive the analysis
  • Stay up to date with latest talent development trends and suggest ones that could benefit our clients’ population
  • Assist the Learning team in the review of relevant course modules as needed
