Job Description:**Talent Acquisition Specialist – Position Announcement**
The National Academy for Science and Skills (NASS) is seeking a qualified and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team.
**Role Summary:**
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will contribute to building diverse and highly qualified teams by developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that staffing needs are met through a long-term, strategic approach, including developing employer branding initiatives to cultivate robust applicant pipelines. Furthermore, the Specialist will design and execute comprehensive end-to-end hiring processes to guarantee a positive candidate experience and foster strong relationships with hiring managers to establish clear expectations for both candidates and interviewers.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Develop and execute strategic recruiting plans to identify and attract qualified candidates.
* Source, screen, and evaluate candidate applications to determine suitability for open positions.
* Establish and maintain a comprehensive network of contacts to proactively source potential candidates.
* Assess candidate qualifications against established job requirements and facilitate optimal role alignment.
* Organize and conduct recruitment interviews and administer appropriate assessment processes.
* Develop and implement objective selection criteria for the evaluation of potential candidates.
* Manage all recruitment-related activities, ensuring efficient and compliant administrative processes.
* Maintain a current understanding of recruitment trends, best practices, and relevant employment legislation, ensuring adherence within the organization.
* Prepare and present comprehensive reports on recruitment activities, providing data-driven insights.
* Provide expert advice to hiring managers on recruitment matters and offer guidance on candidate selection decisions.
* Identify future hiring needs and collaborate with department managers to develop comprehensive job descriptions and specifications.
* Attract qualified candidates through various channels, including databases, online employment platforms, and social media.
* Conduct thorough interviews and manage the applicant selection process to fill open positions effectively.
* Evaluate applicants’ knowledge, skills, and experience to ensure optimal placement within the organization.
* Promote the organization’s reputation and attractiveness as a premier employer of choice.

**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
* A minimum of 1 to 3 years of progressive experience in recruitment, staffing, or human resources.
* Demonstrated knowledge of current recruitment and hiring trends and best practices.
* Proficiency in utilizing MS Office Suite and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).

* Authority to communicate with recruitment agencies regarding open positions.
* Authority to communicate with prospective candidates throughout the recruitment process.
* Authority to communicate interview results to candidates.
* Authority to extend job offers to approved candidates, excluding managerial roles.
* Authority to represent and manage NASS at relevant job fairs and recruitment events.
