**Job Description: Supervisor, Land Freight**

The Supervisor, Land Freight is accountable for the coordination and oversight of daily land freight operations within the logistics cluster. This role necessitates the effective management of truck utilization, the assurance of timely goods delivery, and the maintenance of robust client relationships, while adhering to stringent safety and compliance standards.

**Responsibilities:**

* Coordinate daily operational activities and monitor truck utilization rates.
* Verify packing lists, coordinate the necessary number and type of vehicles, and execute assigned tasks in conjunction with the team.
* Ensure all fleet requirements from clients and coordinators are fulfilled promptly and efficiently.
* Arrange for the necessary trucks, personnel, and equipment prior to shipment loading, ensuring the safe handling of cargo.
* Manage outsourced trucking operations and oversee their performance.
* Issue delivery notes and ensure their timely and accurate submission, as well as job closure.
* Submit all required documentation (e.g., port delivery notes, payment receipts) following shipment delivery.
* Maintain strong client relationships by providing necessary documents and reports as required.
* Develop and maintain relevant performance metrics, establish work schedules, and monitor delivery timelines.
* Address customer inquiries, resolve delivery efficiency concerns, and manage justified complaints.

**Qualifications:**

* A minimum of five to six years of relevant work experience in logistics or supply chain management is required.
* Availability to work flexible hours and shifts is essential.
* Proficiency in transportation management systems or other logistics software is required.
* Prior experience in transportation, logistics, or administrative roles is preferred.
* Knowledge of transport regulations and applicable safety standards is required.
