Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park, a preopening hotel, is looking for an active Stewarding Supervisor to join their extraordinary team! Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, in the most sought after residential area of Dubai. Minutes away from mega malls, magnificent Jumeirah Beaches, world’s leading tourist attractions and Parks, auto drome and over 5 championship golf courses. The Holiday Inn & Suites at Dubai Science Park will include 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, anchor F&B offerings and an extensive 1026sqm cutting-edge meeting and events facilities.
Under the direction of the Executive Chef or delegate, and within the limits of established Hotel Policies and Procedures and directs all aspects of the Stewarding operation.
Key Job Responsibilities: • Oversee the preparation of kitchen equipment for use. • Manage the receiving and storage of kitchen goods. • Oversee the cleaning and storage of kitchen equipment. • Oversee the cleaning of the premises. • Oversee the removal of waste. • Oversee the handling of kitchen linen. • Maintain a hygienic kitchen. • Clean the kitchen and equipment. • Manage all functions of the Stewarding operation to achieve the optimum quality level of sanitation. • Control and analyzes, on an on-going basis, the level of the following: Costs, Breakage, Quality of support provided to other sections. • Condition and cleanliness of facilities and equipment. • Guest satisfaction • Conducts daily briefings and other meetings as needed to obtain optimal results. • Handles administrative works and keeps up-dated files on the following Stewarding matters: Finance, Standards, Training, Outlets, Meetings and Miscellaneous. • Assists the Executive Chef in settings Stewarding goals and developing strategies, procedures and policies. • Determines the minimum and maximum stocks and controls the par-stocks of all material and equipment. •
Previous experience in a similar role within a professional hotel environment and in a similar size property • Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with varied audiences • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external providers and suppliers • Excelent knowledge of risk management and health and safety best practices •
