Job Description
- Design and implement a rigorous STEM & Robotics curriculum aligned with educational standards and learning objectives.
- Teach students fundamental concepts in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on activities and projects.
- Instruct students in robotics principles, including mechanical design, electronics, programming, and automation.
- Guide students in designing, building, and programming robots using various platforms such as LEGO Mindstorms, VEX Robotics, or Arduino.
- Facilitate student participation in robotics competitions and extracurricular activities to enhance their skills and teamwork.
- Assess student learning through assignments, projects, and assessments, providing feedback to support their growth and development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, experimentation, and innovation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate STEM & Robotics concepts across the curriculum and support interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and stakeholders regarding program goals, student progress, and achievements.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in STEM education and robotics technology to continually enhance teaching practices.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, STEM-related field, or Robotics Engineering.
- Previous experience teaching STEM subjects and robotics at the middle or high school level.
- Strong knowledge of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts, with a focus on robotics principles.
- Proficiency in robotics programming languages such as Blockly, Python, or C/C++.
- Experience with robotics platforms and kits such as LEGO Mindstorms, VEX Robotics, or Arduino.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and collaborate with colleagues.
- Ability to create and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Passion for inspiring students to pursue careers and interests in STEM fields and robotics.
- Organizational and time-management skills to effectively plan lessons, manage resources, and assess student progress.
