**Lucid Motors seeks a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Global Supply Manager to spearhead strategic sourcing initiatives for Exterior systems and components. This senior-level position entails developing and implementing comprehensive sourcing strategies, cultivating robust supplier relationships, and leading impactful commercial negotiations to support Lucid’s Exterior commodity portfolio. The successful candidate will serve as a critical liaison between Engineering, Finance, Supplier Quality, and Manufacturing, ensuring the delivery of cost-effective, innovative solutions that adhere to program timelines and stringent quality standards.**
**Responsibilities:**
* **Lead strategic sourcing activities for Exterior commodities, encompassing lighting, glazing, bumpers, and body panels, with a focus on optimizing cost, quality, delivery, and innovation.**
* **Develop and execute sourcing strategies that are aligned with overarching business objectives and specific program requirements.**
* **Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), conduct thorough analysis of supplier proposals, and present well-supported sourcing recommendations to executive leadership.**
* **Negotiate intricate commercial agreements, including pricing structures, tooling costs, and non-recurring engineering (NRE) expenses.**
* **Oversee contract development and ensure strict adherence to Lucid’s standard terms and conditions.**
* **Manage the issuance of purchase orders for prototype and production tooling, ensuring alignment with program milestones and budgetary targets.**
* **Proactively monitor supplier performance and promptly escalate any risks pertaining to delivery, quality, or cost.**
* **Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives.**
* **Provide regular, comprehensive updates on sourcing status, cost tracking, and supplier health to internal stakeholders.**
* **Travel domestically and internationally up to 15-25% to conduct supplier visits and participate in program reviews.**
**Qualifications:**
* **Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Finance; Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.**
* **Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, specifically for mechanical and electrical components.**
* **In-depth understanding of the full procurement lifecycle, including RFQ/RFI processes, cost analysis methodologies, and contract negotiation strategies.**
* **Demonstrated ability to effectively manage complex supplier relationships and foster cross-functional alignment within global teams.**
* **Familiarity with product development cycles and established quality management systems.**
* **Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.**
* **Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (SAP or equivalent), and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira).**
* **Proven ability to navigate ambiguous situations, manage competing priorities, and consistently deliver results under pressure.**
