The primary function of this role is to identify grant opportunities, disseminate comprehensive information, and provide support to faculty throughout the grant application lifecycle. This entails proposal review, verification of compliance, coordination with relevant administrative units, and ensuring the punctual submission of applications. This Proposal and Outreach Officer position combines proposal development support with the cultivation of relationships and outreach activities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Identify and disseminate information regarding new national and international grant opportunities.
* Utilize pre-defined keywords, derived from Principal Investigator surveys, to identify funding opportunities aligned with their research themes and specific areas of interest.
* Communicate with eligible faculty members regarding relevant grant opportunities, adhering to university policies, and provide detailed information pertaining to grant objectives, deadlines, and required documentation.
* Maintain a well-organized system for the filing and categorization of both physical and digital documents, facilitating efficient retrieval and tracking of document versions and updates; Manage the database for Grantors, Partners, and submission records.
* Update the newsletter with new funding opportunities and important announcements to keep faculty informed of changes and initiatives.
* Identify relevant workshops and resources to assist faculty members with grant application procedures and proposal writing.
* Attend online and offsite workshops and events related to funding agencies and grantors as required.

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business major or any related field.
  • Active & Dynamic personality with excellent administration skills.
  • Effective communication skills and problem solving.
  • Excellent time management and ability to handle tight deadlines.
  • Excellent English proficiency (Spoken & Written) as will be dealing with foreign entities.
  • Excellent proficiency of MS office package (Excel, Word, PPT)
  • Excellent surveying skills and information hunt.
  • Experience in research/grants roles is a plus.
