Formulate comprehensive and precise technical specifications for materials, products, systems, and equipment employed in project executions. Guarantee specifications conform to project mandates, relevant regulatory codes, industry benchmarks (e.g., ISO, ASTM), and client stipulations. Collaborate with architectural, engineering, project management, and procurement personnel to harmonize specifications with design parameters and performance objectives. The role entails reviewing and approving material submittals and technical documentation to verify adherence to project specifications; maintaining and updating a centralized specification repository and templates for internal application; supporting value engineering initiatives through the assessment of alternative materials and the proposition of economically viable resolutions; participating in technical assessments, tender documentation preparation, and procurement evaluations; monitoring sectoral advancements, novel materials, and optimal methodologies to persistently enhance specification quality; ensuring comprehensive, well-structured, and readily accessible documentation throughout the project duration; and providing assistance in resolving technical incongruities arising during construction or manufacturing phases pertaining to specifications.
