Job Description:Job Description: Site Manager Job Purpose: The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of site preparation and readiness to ensure efficient and timely project execution. This includes managing site preparation activities, supporting installation processes, and assisting with the logistics of shipments and rigging. Interfaces: External Interfaces: Collaboration with external stakeholders as required. Internal Interfaces: Project Engineering & Management Team, Commercial Team, Finance & Accounts Team. Duties & Responsibilities: Site Readiness & Preparation: Ensure customer sites (e.g., hospitals or clinics) meet all infrastructure requirements, including civil works, electrical supply, HVAC, radiation shielding, safety, ventilation, and clean room standards. Coordinate site inspections and feasibility surveys. Conduct on-site inspections to validate that construction and facilities are prepared according to established guidelines. Coordination With External Parties: Collaborate with hospital staff, architects, engineers, contractors, rigging and construction companies, and local suppliers to ensure all project components align with specifications. Liaise with local regulatory authorities regarding safety, radiation protection, and health codes to ensure compliance with all applicable standards. Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules in conjunction with the Project Manager for the site readiness phase, encompassing civil works, installation, logistics, and commissioning. Coordinate timelines with internal departments, including Sales, Logistics, Installation, Service, and Quality, to align delivery and handover processes. Customer/Stakeholder Interface: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on all site-related matters, including clarifying requirements, communicating delays or issues, and managing expectations. Ensure a seamless handover from construction to installation teams. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the installation and commissioning phases. Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure installations comply with quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Utilize site preparation guides and checklists. Inspect and verify that all components, delivered systems, and site conditions are suitable prior to equipment delivery and installation. Problem Anticipation, Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify risks, such as construction delays, infrastructure mismatches, utility issues, and regulatory delays, and propose mitigation strategies. Address unexpected challenges on-site (e.g., deviations from specifications, construction delays) in coordination with relevant stakeholders. Budgeting/Financial Oversight: Monitor costs related to site preparation, including civil works, extra materials, and subcontractors. Ensure variations are documented and remain within agreed limits. Support financial forecasting related to project delivery and site readiness. Handover And Commissioning Support: Support installation teams (mechanical, electrical, physicists, etc.) through commissioning, performance checks, and acceptance tests once the site is ready. Ensure customer training or orientation for site maintenance or safety, where applicable. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain site-specific drawings, reports, and readiness checklists. Document the status of installations, deviations, and sign-offs. Provide regular reports on project progress, delays, and cost overruns to the Project Manager and internal senior management. Other Activities: Support projects with logistics, warehouse activities, and rigging. Obtain necessary documents and signatures as required. Travel for meetings and workshops as requested. Obtain quotes for materials and resources as required. Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Experience: A minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in Site Management, preferably in radiotherapy, the medical field, and/or civil engineering. Essential: Understanding of CAD drawings and MEP works. Skills & Knowledge: Ability to execute projects according to plan, maintain Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) requirements, and assist in project cash flow management. Ability to clearly explain basic design ideas and plans to clients, project consultants, engineering offices, vendors, and subordinates. Overall responsibility for project results, including risk management, opportunity identification, and claims management. Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to present basic technical information to a wide audience. High competence in technical writing, systems development, and utilization.
