Job Description:**Responsibilities:**
This role encompasses comprehensive tax functions, including:
* **Tax Returns Preparation:** Preparation and processing of monthly Value Added Tax (VAT) and Withholding Tax (WHT) returns across various jurisdictions, ensuring timely submission to relevant tax authorities and settlement of all tax liabilities.
* **Tax Compliance:** Maintenance of full compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and internal controls. This includes monitoring and updating the monthly tax calendar and tracker to guarantee accurate and timely filing. Supporting the preparation of complex income tax returns is also a key aspect.
* **Tax Accounting:** Management of tax provisions and balances within the general ledger, ensuring accurate tax accounting entries and reconciliations.
* **Tax Document Management:** Maintenance of organized and current tax documentation within a central database, responding to information requests, and ensuring audit readiness.
* **Tax Audits & Inspections:** Coordination and support during tax audits and inspections, including communication with tax consultants and Business Finance to ensure a clear understanding and proper documentation of tax positions.
* **Automation & Process Improvement:** Collaboration with IT and the Assistant Financial Controller to resolve VAT system issues, supporting automation initiatives, and contributing to the streamlining of tax processes.
* **Tax Reporting & Ad-hoc Requests:** Preparation and submission of reports, reconciliations, and management updates as required, along with providing ad-hoc tax-related analysis and support to management.
* **Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:** Collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on key tax topics, contributing to process improvements and business excellence initiatives, and maintaining continuous learning to enhance technical and professional skills.
