**Job Description: Senior Communications Specialist**
**Purpose:** The Senior Communications Specialist is responsible for the strategic management of all executive communications and media relations activities, with the objective of cultivating and maintaining a positive public image for the organization and its leadership.
**Responsibilities:**
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the leadership team, influencing strategic messaging and securing support for communication projects and initiatives.
* Draft and disseminate viewpoints on behalf of senior leadership.
* Formulate and execute social media and communication strategies to enhance the leadership team’s digital presence, including the development of tactical plans to achieve defined objectives.
* Collaborate with the research team to assist senior management in researching relevant topics and developing key talking points.
* Advise leadership on appropriate communication topics, forums, and audiences to effectively convey the organization’s message.
* Manage media inquiries and coordinate interviews and statements, in conjunction with the line manager.
* Assist in the development of content for advertorials.
* Collaborate with the PR and Media agency to identify and leverage media opportunities to elevate executive visibility across paid, earned, and owned media platforms.
* Support the leadership team in media interviews.
* Create, edit, manage, and schedule content for executive communications, including blog posts, vlogs, social media content, media engagements, and speaking opportunities.
* Work with the line manager to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integration of all leadership team communications with key messaging, strategic objectives, and organizational priorities.
* Attend key events featuring the CEO and other executives, generating content such as live coverage, photography, and videos to foster meaningful and impactful engagement with external audiences.
* Develop presentation slide decks for executive presentations.
* Undertake any other responsibilities as directed by the Line Manager.
* Collaborate closely with the digital media team, content manager, and events team.
**Qualifications:**
* Proven experience and expertise in copywriting, proofreading, and editing.
* Exceptional portfolio demonstrating a successful track record in executive communications.
* Relevant experience in the cybersecurity or technology sector is essential.
* Experience in a B2B or B2G work environment.
* Superior communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
* A Master’s degree in public relations, communications, or a related field is preferred.
* Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience.
* Master’s degree in communications, journalism, or equivalent.
