Job Description:The individual shall be responsible for the preparation and development of detailed and accurate shop drawings based on design drawings and specifications. This includes the review and coordination of shop drawings from various disciplines (Architectural, Structural, MEP), the identification and resolution of design conflicts and clashes through the use of coordination tools and software, and ensuring compliance of shop drawings with contract documents, local codes, and standards. Furthermore, the individual will coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure the timely submission and approval of drawings, attend technical and coordination meetings with the project team and consultants, follow up on shop drawing submittals and ensure timely approval from consultants/clients, and prepare and maintain drawing logs and submittal schedules. Assistance in the preparation of as-built drawings upon project completion will also be required, as well as providing support to procurement and construction teams with required technical documentation. If applicable, the individual will supervise and mentor junior drafting team members and will utilize AutoCAD, Revit, ASD, and other related software for 2D/3D drafting and coordination.
Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering ( Civil, ).
Minimum of 6–10 years of experience in shop drawing preparation within construction or contracting companies.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and coordination software such as Navisworks.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, technical specifications, and applicable codes.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
