About the role
The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services needed for the company’s real estate and construction projects. This role ensures that procurement activities are cost-effective, timely, and aligned with project requirements and company policies. The Procurement Officer works closely with vendors, contractors, and internal departments to maintain supply chain efficiency and support project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and source suppliers, vendors, and contractors for project materials and services.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes, negotiate contracts, and secure favorable terms.
- Ensure all purchases meet quality standards, specifications, and delivery schedules.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships for consistency and reliability.
- Conduct vendor evaluations and resolve supply-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and coordinate with finance.
- Collaborate with project teams to align procurement with timelines.
- Conduct market research to optimize sourcing strategies.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in construction or real estate.
- Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and procurement best practices.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Analytical mindset for supplier evaluation and pricing.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
