Job Description: **Option 1 (Emphasis on strategic contribution):**
The Senior Planning Engineer is accountable for the comprehensive development, meticulous monitoring, and rigorous maintenance of detailed project schedules encompassing multiple phases and disciplines. This pivotal role is instrumental in safeguarding timely project progression within budgetary constraints through diligent oversight of scheduling activities, forecasting, reporting, and in-depth analysis of key project performance indicators. The incumbent serves as a strategic advisor to the Project Management Team, providing expert counsel on all planning and time-related matters. Primary responsibilities include:
* Developing, updating, and maintaining integrated project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 and/or MS Project software.
* Leading planning initiatives for large-scale infrastructure and building projects spanning pre-construction through handover phases.
* Monitoring and analyzing project progress, generating comprehensive performance reports and forecasts.
* Conducting critical path analysis to identify schedule risks, potential delays, and formulating effective recovery strategies.
* Preparing baseline programs, look-ahead schedules, and generating progress S-curves.
* Facilitating coordination amongst project stakeholders, encompassing design, procurement, engineering, and construction teams.
* Ensuring seamless alignment between the project schedule and associated cost control systems.
* Providing thorough delay analysis and offering support for Extension of Time (EOT) claims and contractual obligations.
* Chairing regular planning and coordination meetings, presenting detailed schedule updates to relevant parties.
* Mentoring junior planning engineers, contributing to the enhancement of team capabilities.
