Job Description:Delve Health, an innovative and rapidly expanding digital health organization headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, seeks a highly proficient and experienced **Senior PHP/Laravel Developer** to contribute to the development of our next-generation platform. This is a fully remote position; however, **candidates must be based in Egypt**.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in the design, development, and architecture of our products, ensuring a scalable, maintainable, and efficient codebase. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and the provision of technical leadership will be essential aspects of this role.
**Responsibilities:**
* Architect and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications utilizing Laravel and PHP.
* Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to industry best practices, including SOLID principles and DRY methodology.
* Design and optimize databases to ensure scalability, normalization, and efficient indexing.
* Identify and resolve complex technical issues, implementing scalable and efficient solutions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and developers, to deliver timely, high-quality features.
* Provide technical leadership through code review, enforcement of best practices, and maintenance of a clean, scalable, and well-architected codebase.
* Lead the design and implementation of backend services and APIs, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.
* Optimize deployment pipelines and ensure seamless hosting on Google Cloud Platform (or similar cloud platforms).
* Mentor junior engineers, fostering growth in clean coding practices, architecture, and database design.
Skills:
- 4+ years of experience in software development, specializing in PHP and Laravel.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud (or similar), including deployment and cloud-based architecture.
- Expertise in database design, covering schema design, query optimization, and normalization
- Strong expertise in writing clean, reusable, and maintainable code, following SOLID, DRY, and other best practices.
- Extensive experience in designing and developing scalable, secure web applications.
- Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git.
- Hands-on experience with backend authentication technologies and system security protocols.
- Experience with multi-tenant, microservice, and serverless architectures.
- Proven expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and automation scripting.
- Demonstrated ability to make architectural decisions for complex systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a critical thinking mindset and a track record of innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
