Job Description:**Corporate Accounting Manager – Position Description**
**Job Summary:**
The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for leading and supporting the Corporate Accounting team in maintaining the accuracy, organization, and secure digital archiving of all financial records. This role involves overseeing the analysis and consolidation of SAP databases and related files to establish and maintain a robust, centralized accounting database, ensuring adherence to all applicable legal and regulatory requirements. The incumbent will also assist the Accounting Director in the provision of high-quality financial accounting services to both internal and external stakeholders.
**Responsibilities and Accountabilities:**
* Lead the preparation, analysis, and verification of financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards.
* Oversee the review of prior year physical documentation to identify any missing transactions or documents not currently available in digital format.
* Ensure that any identified missing transaction documents, bank statements, broker statements, reconciliations, and other accounting and financial records are properly arranged, tabulated, scanned, uploaded in digital format, and appropriately archived.
* Manage the planning and execution of internal and external audits, and provide support for external audit processes related to special projects.
* Collaborate effectively with external auditors, inspectors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with statutory and corporate requirements, and to provide necessary documentation as required.
* Oversee and guide a small accounting team, providing mentorship and fostering professional development opportunities.
* Prepare high-quality financial reports and analyses to inform senior management and relevant stakeholders.
* Analyze historical financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
* Ensure the accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts within the SAP ERP system and develop reports as needed.
* Collaborate with operations and other relevant departments to align financial reporting with manufacturing business processes.
* Contribute to risk management, governance, and process improvement initiatives.
* Lead and execute special projects as assigned by senior management.
**Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):**
* Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
* Compliance with statutory and corporate audit requirements.
* Effectiveness and efficiency of audit processes and issue resolution.
* Quality of analysis and insights provided to senior management.
* Timely and accurate completion of reconciliations and verifications.
* Implementation and adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
* Team performance, engagement, and development metrics.
* Level of collaboration and support provided to cross-functional teams.
* Reduction in audit/external findings and control weaknesses over time.
* Timely submission of external documents with no errors or omissions.
**Qualifications:**
* **Required Education (Degree):** Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.
* **Required Education (Major):** Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* **Required Professional Certification:** CA or equivalent professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA).
* **Years of Experience:** 7-9 years of relevant experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
