Job Description:**Subject: Senior IT Infrastructure and Security Engineer Position**
The organization seeks a Senior IT Infrastructure and Security Engineer to assume a critical role in the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of the corporate IT infrastructure. This position necessitates a comprehensive understanding of complex IT systems, adherence to security best practices, and a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Implement and maintain robust and scalable IT infrastructure solutions, encompassing servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, and Microsoft Office365).
* Develop and maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation, including network diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
* Manage and optimize network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
* Implement and maintain security controls to safeguard the organization’s IT infrastructure and data assets.
* Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and remediate potential security weaknesses.
* Manage and monitor security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
* Respond to security incidents and breaches, conducting thorough investigations and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
* Implement and manage access control systems, ensuring adherence to the principle of least privilege.
* Implement and manage data loss prevention (DLP) and data encryption solutions.
* Provide expert-level support for complex IT infrastructure issues.
* Monitor system performance and availability, and proactively address potential problems.
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
* Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets.
* Manage and optimize server operating systems and database systems.
**Location:** 10th of Ramadan / Naser City (Temporary Location)
Skills:
Key skills and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and security.
- Extensive experience with server administration (Windows Server, Linux), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), networking (Cisco, Juniper), and cloud computing).
- Solid experience with Microsoft Office365 Service including implementation, management and support.
- Strong understanding of security principles, best practices, and technologies.
- Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Office365 Administrator Expert).
- Excellent command of English.
