Job Description:The individual is responsible for the comprehensive management and execution of electrical engineering projects, encompassing the following duties: client and interdisciplinary liaison to ensure adherence to project specifications; preparation and review of commissioning documentation, including plans, programs, and activity trackers; creation and revision of operation and maintenance manuals, training materials, and asset registers; development and evaluation of testing and commissioning method statements and procedures in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, project specifications, and international standards; review of design drawings to identify potential commissioning issues; preparation of progress reports outlining site activities and highlighting factors impacting the commissioning process; creation of design review reports for electrical systems, including design calculations and drawing assessments; development of complete design packages for tender processes, encompassing the preparation of electrical drawings (power, lighting, lighting control, ELV systems, installation details, earthing and lightning protection) in coordination with other trades; execution of indoor and outdoor lighting design, distribution, and calculations using DIALUX software in accordance with relevant codes and building requirements; preparation of panel board schedules, MCCs, calculation sheets, load estimations, cable tables, and equipment schedules in accordance with relevant codes and building requirements; design of substation builder work, equipment arrangement, and cable routing; performance of voltage drop and short circuit calculations manually and using ETAP and ECODIAL software; preparation and development of electrical and ELV specifications and design reports; preparation and development of project OPR and BODR documentation; execution of risk assessments and calculations for lightning protection and earthing; design of low and medium voltage infrastructure networks, including internal and external layouts, wiring diagrams, power risers, and single line diagrams; interpretation of engineering drawings for control panels and LV panels; design of extra low voltage systems, including, but not limited to: structure cabling, fire alarm, CCTV, Wi-Fi, access control, TV, telephone, sound, intercom, triple play, BMS, and fiber optics telecommunications systems, PAVA etc; review of shop drawings and as-built drawings; interpretation of catalogs, design briefs and criteria, installation manuals, and datasheets; review of vendor drawings, inspection and testing of vendor’s works, and as-built drawings; review of technical and financial offers, suppliers’ technical submittals, and equipment manuals in accordance with the electrical design package; preparation of bills of quantities, ensuring consistency with specifications; analysis of existing processes and scheduling of meetings to discuss improvement initiatives; management of technical office engineers to ensure the preparation of high-quality technical documents; evaluation of project requirements and proposition of innovative design alternatives to reduce costs and increase efficiency; supervision, leadership, and training of junior engineers to ensure their technical development goals are met; interaction with management and contractors/supervisors to address quality and service problems; and liaison with electrical authorities for the approval of service connections.
Skills:
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering – power and machines major.
- Excellent knowledge of international codes and standards, Saudi Arabian electrical and Civil Defense standards.
- 5-7 years of Proven experience in electrical systems design and project management.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
- Proficiency in using Dialux and ETAP softwares.
- Very good command of Revit MEP Software.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
- Very Good English Language spoken and writing skills.
- Familiarity with value engineering concepts and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
