Job Description
Scope of Work
- Collect and translate user insights into delightful experiences
- Create functional and visually appealing features that address customer needs
- Develop User Experience (UX) for different projects by designing wireframes, user journey mapping, personas etc
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Design graphic user interface elements
- Develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how applications function and look like
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems
- Maintain all UX/IA Templates, documentation, assets, personas, wireframes, design mock-ups, user flows, navigational maps and experience documentation for assigned projects
- Define engaging user experiences
- Conduct User research and ethnography – ideally both qualitative and quantitative methods
- Translating business priorities into research questions and design insights
- Communicating and coordinating with senior stakeholders to evangelise and advance the CX/UX agenda
Skills
Required Skill Set / Experience / or any specific qualifications
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in software UI design for a renowned industrial enterprise/ startup
- Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
- A portfolio demonstrating visual/interaction design skills
- Able to plan and execute usability research using a variety of research methods and techniques
- Knowledge of web application and mobile application UX design standards and best practices
- Deep understanding of how technology and customer experience unlock value for business
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
- Ability to present designs and sell solutions to various stakeholders
- Up to date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in UI design from a globally renowned university
- MBA from a globally renowned university or institute (Preferred)
- Digitally savvy; curious and passionate about leveraging technology to drive impact on business and society
- Creative and with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interest and ideally first exposure across different industry verticals, particularly healthcare, logistics, and supply chain
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills and an entrepreneurial “can-do” mindset
- Team player mindset with strong interpersonal skills and willingness to go the extra mile
- Initial work experience in the Middle East (Preferred)
- Business fluent in English (Arabic strongly preferred)
