Parsons is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Construction Manager specializing in High-Rise and Steel Structures to join our Riyadh team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive management of key construction packages and the oversight of site execution for a multi-story high-rise development featuring a complex steelwork frame.
This role demands proactive leadership, substantial technical proficiency, and effective coordination with contractors and consultants to ensure the safe, timely, and high-quality completion of work.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Site Management & Execution:**
* Supervise daily construction activities within assigned zones or packages, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
* Coordinate the sequencing of construction activities, including basement works, steelwork, concrete placement, and architectural finishes.
* **Contractor Coordination:**
* Manage subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project schedules and quality standards.
* Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve technical or logistical issues.
* Monitor workforce productivity and resource allocation.
* **Progress & Reporting:**
* Track progress against established construction milestones and report any deviations.
* Assist the Construction Director in the preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports.
* Actively participate in coordination meetings and contribute to project planning sessions.
* **Quality, Safety & Compliance:**
* Enforce strict adherence to site safety protocols and ensure compliance with all applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
* Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures, including conducting regular inspections.
* Liaise with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) and safety teams to address any non-conformances.
**Required Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* A minimum of 20 years of experience in large-scale construction projects, with specific experience in high-rise and steel structures.
* Demonstrated expertise in managing complex construction packages and leading site teams.
* Comprehensive knowledge of basement works, steel erection, and tower construction methodologies.
* Proven leadership and team coordination abilities.
* Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Proficiency in construction software and scheduling tools.
* A thorough understanding of construction contracts and site logistics.
* Excellent communication and reporting skills.
**Desired Qualifications:**
* Experience in sports, entertainment, or mixed-use developments is preferred.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
* Certification in safety or construction management is considered an asset.
