**Job Summary:**

The Senior BIM Modeler will support the BIM Coordinator and Project Delivery Teams in the day-to-day execution, establishment, and implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) within Parsons’ Abu Dhabi office. This position requires advanced computer-aided design (CAD)/BIM and technical proficiencies to develop 3D/2D dimensional models for model and drawing production, quality assurance and control, coordination, and constructability analysis.

**Responsibilities:**

* Provide support to the BIM Coordinator and Project Delivery Team(s) in daily BIM implementation activities.
* Develop 3D/2D dimensional models for drawing preparation, clash reporting, and presentations in accordance with project Level of Development (LOD) requirements and modeling standards.
* Extract 3D models for clash analysis, schedule review, and quantity surveying.
* Ensure coordination of all model interfaces with designers and engineers across disciplines.
* Verify that all models, drawings, and deliverables comply with project and company quality standards and BIM requirements.
* Prepare engineering drawings from models, including basic arrangements, layouts, profiles, and sections.
* Develop and extract 2D geometry from models for internal reviews and coordination meetings.
* Ensure Project Information Models (PIMs) are delivered in accordance with the agreed TIDP, MIDP, and Common Data Environment (CDE) protocol.
* Prepare BIM package submissions in compliance with project standards and requirements.
* Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs.
* Prepare models and reports for constructability analysis.
* Coordinate work with the lead technical engineer, assuming responsibility for the timely completion of deliverables.

**Key Elements:**

* Proficiency in Revit 3D Modeling and 3D Model-Based workflows
* Experience with Revit Families and Design libraries
* Knowledge of Modeling Standards and Naming Conventions
* Experience extracting cut sheets and using modeling templates
* Familiarity with British Standards BS/PAS Series (1192) and International Organization for Standardization (19650)
* Understanding of Common Data Environment, Project Information Model Delivery, and Digital Delivery methods
* Proficiency in Quality Assurance Compliance and Validation
* Experience in Collaboration, Coordination, and Clash/Clearance Detection
* Knowledge of Quantity Take Off / Scheduling
* Understanding of Asset Information Model Delivery, COBie, O&M, and Asset Tagging

**Required Education, Experience, Skills, Competencies, and Technical Knowledge:**

* Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering from an accredited institution.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience, with 5-8 years of Revit experience demonstrating in-depth working knowledge of current Revit versions.
* Proficiency in CAD design 2D/3D (AutoCAD and Revit).
* Demonstrated ability (skill assessment required) to set up new Revit project files for a team.
* Strong problem-solving skills and multitasking capabilities.
* Ability to produce Revit Families according to project requirements.
* Ability to maintain standards and a library of Revit families/objects.
* Ability to conduct clash detection in Revit.
* Strong computer skills.
* Experience producing working drawings in Revit.
* Expert knowledge of Revit, including the use of parametric modeling, generation of Bills of Material, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and creation of families.
* Advanced Revit skills, including the creation of federated models using Revit Links, creating/working with Revit Worksets, and professional use of shared coordinates.
* Proficiency in a range of BIM Authoring, Scripting, Design Review, Coordination, Simulations, and Collaboration Platforms:
* Essentials: Revit Structure, Dynamo, Navisworks, BIM 360, & AutoCAD
* Preferable: ProjectWise, Synchro, Bluebeam Studio, Autodesk Inventor professional, Sketchup, 3D Max
* Experience with concrete and steel bridge and tunnel projects is required.
* Knowledge of BIM codes and Standards (ISO19650, PAS1192-2, BS1192).
* Knowledge of General BIM Model requirements (i.e., LOD, Naming convention, parametric modeling, etc.).

**Additional Requirements:**

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to form effective relationships with the Project Delivery Team, Client, and Contractor under pressure.
* Ability to develop analytical reports and presentations.
