Job Description:
Financial Management:
Overseeing and managing all aspects of the accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
Financial Reporting:
Preparing and analyzing financial statements, reports, and forecasts for construction projects.
Project Cost Tracking:
Ensuring accurate job costing, tracking site costs, and managing billing and change orders.
Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and internal policies.
Budgeting and Planning:
Assisting with budget preparation, financial planning, and strategic decision-making.
Audits:
Coordinating and preparing for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis.
Collaboration:
Working closely with project managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to align financial and operational goals.
Cash Flow Management:
Forecasting cash flow needs, streamlining billing processes, and managing vendor terms.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus on construction.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of construction industry-specific accounting practices and regulations.
