Job Description:**Role Summary:**

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the oversight of daily accounting operations, ensuring the integrity of financial records, managing general ledger postings, and assisting in the creation of financial reports. This position necessitates robust analytical proficiencies, meticulous attention to detail, and adherence to financial regulations to support the financial well-being of iVein Clinics.

**Core Responsibilities:**

**1. Financial Accounting and Reporting:**

* Preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
* Verification of accurate transaction posting within the accounting system.
* Oversight of accounts payable and receivable procedures to facilitate prompt payment and collection cycles.
* Development of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

**2. Budgeting and Forecasting:**

* Contribution to the development of budgets and forecasts in conjunction with the Finance Manager.
* Monitoring of budget variances and provision of analysis to facilitate cost management.

**3. Compliance and Audit:**

* Assurance of compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax legislation.
* Coordination with external auditors during annual audits and provision of requisite documentation.
* Preparation of Value Added Tax (VAT) and other tax filings as mandated.

**4. Process Enhancement:**

* Identification of areas for operational improvement within financial processes.
* Support the implementation of leading practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
