Job Description:**Subject: Security Manager Position at Unilever**
Unilever, a global organization whose products are used daily by 3.4 billion people across over 190 countries, seeks a highly qualified and experienced Security Manager to safeguard its personnel, assets, and operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks within a dynamic environment, ensuring compliance with global security standards, and enabling business continuity and resilience. This role is a key operational position, focused on implementing both proactive and reactive security control measures that align with Group Security standards and procedures, while ensuring local measures are commensurate with the identified risks and opportunities. The Security Manager will collaborate with the Business to assess risk levels, identify necessary resources, and coordinate the implementation of the country security plan across all security pillars, utilizing both internal and external expertise. The candidate will be responsible for managing programs and systems designed to protect employees and assets, ensuring that security risks are identified and managed appropriately, and monitoring existing practices to ensure their continued relevance and value. The Security Manager will also oversee security awareness programs and ensure that third-party providers are properly trained and aligned with Unilever’s operational standards. The scope of responsibility encompasses all aspects of the company’s business, including third-party entities, in relation to its people, the public, brands, assets, and reputation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide leadership and develop a coordinated security approach across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, continuously reviewing operational security risks.
* Serve as the trusted advisor to country leadership and the point of contact for all security-related matters for SHE site leads, in alignment with the Line of Defense 1 (LoD1) framework.
* Maintain a high level of awareness regarding security matters and demonstrate a thorough understanding of different levels of risk and threat.
* Develop and maintain a country security plan with specific objectives and timelines for delivery.
* Review security architecture and ensure that existing controls are adequate, effective, and aligned to achieve management objectives, as per Line of Defense 2 (LoD2).
* Analyze existing and emerging threats to personnel, assets, information, and brand through comprehensive security risk assessments. Design security architecture to mitigate these threats in accordance with legal, statutory, regulatory, contractual, and business requirements, industry best practices, and technological and environmental trends.
* Create a security ‘eco-system’ by liaising with external intelligence agencies, law enforcement, specialist physical security third-party companies, special interest groups, and professional bodies to facilitate effective implementation of physical security solutions and ensure effective incident management.
* Ensure sufficient resources are available to effectively implement the country security plan.
* Network, liaise, coordinate, and support other functions with impacts on security, including HR (background verification), Logistics (cargo protection), Customer Operations (supply chain and logistics), IT (security systems and networks), and C&CA (Communications & Corporate Affairs).
* Manage and oversee protective intelligence activities, including intelligence collection efforts designed to help Unilever mitigate the disruptive effects of crime and terrorism.
* Prepare high-quality reports, including country security incident reports, intelligence briefings, threat assessments, and investigative reports.
* Oversee the budget and expenditures related to the aforementioned areas of responsibility.
* Contribute to the global response to crises and other significant events.
* Be responsible for executive and event protection.
* Ensure security training and awareness sessions are conducted for security staff, vendors/third parties, and employees.
* Manage travel security, maintaining situational awareness of high-risk countries/states/cities and advising employees on business travel.
* Drive the implementation of effective and cost-efficient security solutions to deliver field security domain.
* Represent Unilever at industry forums and participate as a member of industry organizations, sharing information related to industry benchmarking and activities with global and regional security leadership.
* Assist and support the Unilever team in investigations of security incidents, including Business Integrity (BI) matters (fraud, harassment, workplace violence).
**Required Qualifications and Experience:**
* Saudi national.
* Experience in private corporate security or SHE.
* Significant knowledge of operating procedures of police, customs, and national intelligence agencies in the country.
* Proven ability to analyze and exploit multiple information sources to produce comprehensive reports and briefings.
* Experience in managing internal or contracted security personnel.
* Solid knowledge of intelligence collection, collation, interpretation, evaluation, assessment, and exploitation.
* Strong knowledge of investigative procedures, evidence handling, and preparation of case summaries and reports.
* Fluency in English and Arabic.
* Minimum of five years of car driving license.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Background with military/Law enforcement.
* Holder of an internationally recognized security certification (e.g., ASIS, CSMP, CFES).
