Job Description:**Position: Sales Manager – GCC (excluding Utilities)**
**Department:** Sales, Marketing & Business Development
**Country:** United Arab Emirates (UAE)
**Location:** Dubai
**Reports To:** Sales Manager, ME
**Objective:**
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within the designated GCC territory (excluding Utilities) for all Accessories product lines, reporting directly to the Sales Manager, Middle East. This individual will formulate and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aimed at maximizing market penetration and increasing market share, while optimizing financial performance in terms of turnover, commercial margin, and payment collection. The Sales Manager will also support corporate objectives and champion sales operational excellence throughout the designated region.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Operational Excellence:** Develop, refine, and present compelling value propositions to clients. Formalize and negotiate contracts in compliance with established pricing policies, contractual frameworks (including distributor and agent agreements), and applicable local regulations.
* **Strategic Account Management:** Participate in key contract negotiations for major clients and foster strong relationships with key accounts through strategic engagement, lobbying efforts, and support for distributor/agent agreements, while proactively resolving any emerging issues.
* **Pre-Sales Engagement:** Anticipate future strategic opportunities by cultivating relationships with decision-makers and engaging in proactive pre-sales activities.
* **Market Intelligence and Reporting:** Provide regular updates to the Marketing department on customer interactions, market trends, competitive activities, and emerging innovations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, including product and service profiles. Provide product expertise and support.
* **Interdepartmental Collaboration:** Liaise with manufacturing facilities to coordinate and schedule after-sales service activities. Collaborate with the sales front office to provide support and ensure seamless operations.
* **Customer-Centric Approach:** Develop tailored solutions that address specific customer needs in collaboration with the Product Management team. Prepare compelling sales presentations and utilize appropriate communication tools. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for each customer.
* **Sales Performance:** Achieve established sales targets in accordance with the approved sales action plan. Develop and implement a strategic sales work plan, proactively prospect targeted customers, promote Nexans’ brand awareness and enhance its market image, and foster customer loyalty.
**Expected Outcomes:**
* Increase sales of Accessories products within the assigned territory.
* Establish a strong market presence and cultivate recurring business opportunities in the medium and long term.
* Expand Nexans’ market penetration and market share for all Accessories product lines within the designated region.
* Establish a network of agents and distributors to ensure comprehensive market coverage and proximity to customers.
* Evaluate the feasibility of establishing a local kitting facility in coordination with Accessories Management.
**Performance Metrics:**
* Maintain and exceed existing sales volume of 5M Euro within the assigned territory.
* Expand the customer base and cultivate new prospect customers.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
* **Competencies:** Pricing acumen, technical sales proficiency, effective sales behavior, negotiation and contracting skills, accountability, reporting and alert capabilities, teamwork, strategic sales planning, customer relationship management, and business development expertise.
* **Experience:** Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
* **Education:** University or College degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or Accounting.
**Required Skills and Knowledge:**
* Proficient in the use of standard computer software, including MS Word and Excel.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including business presentations and interpersonal communication.
* Demonstrated teamwork skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
