The incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy for shipping and export services, customized to specific target markets. Responsibilities include leading and motivating the sales team to achieve established monthly and annual sales objectives; cultivating and maintaining robust relationships with international clients, with a particular emphasis on North African nations including Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia; contributing to the expansion of the company’s presence in foreign markets through strategic sales and marketing initiatives, ensuring effective promotion of shipping and export services; identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within international markets, focused on export growth; conducting market research to remain informed of current shipping rates, competitive landscape, and regional trends; collaborating with internal departments (operations, logistics, finance, etc.) to ensure the timely and efficient provision of services; presenting sales, revenue, and expense reports, along with realistic forecasts, to the management team; building and promoting strong, enduring customer relationships through collaborative partnerships and a deep understanding of their needs; and representing the company at industry events, exhibitions, and trade missions to attract new clientele.

Skills:

  • BS/MS degree in business administration or a related field
  • Successful previous experience as a Sales Manager for 1 to 5 years, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager in shipping and export companies
  • Strong background in handling non-Egyptian clients, particularly clients from North Africa
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • A solid background in marketing, with the ability to support sales through market analysis, promotional strategies, or collaboration with marketing teams
